| Outline | The Xiaogushan Hydropower Project is a run-of-river hydro project located in the Sunan Yugu Autonomous County of Zhangye City, Gansu Province, China. The project will have an installed capacity of 98 MW and an estimated annual output of 380 GMh utilizing renewable hydroelectric resources on the Heihe River.
The project will sell electricity generated to the grid as well as supplying reliable power to nearby villages. Furthermore, the project is one of proposed CDM activities in China given its combination of positive environmental, economic and sustainable development benefits. In addition to the power expansion attributes, the project also includes vital poverty reduction benefits. |
